Pilates Mentorship

Know the work. See the person. Teach with purpose.

One-to-one mentorship for Pilates teachers in training, newly qualified teachers and experienced teachers who want space to explore their teaching in more depth. This isn’t another course or a lecture. It’s focused time to ask questions, work through challenges, explore the repertoire and develop the skills that sit behind good teaching, observation, cueing, adaptation, decision-making and confidence.

Who is mentorship for?

You might be:

  • Currently completing your Pilates teacher training.

  • Preparing for a practical assessment or test-out.

  • Newly qualified and building confidence in your teaching.

  • Already teaching but feeling unsure about particular exercises, clients or situations.

  • Wanting to improve your observation, cueing, programming or decision-making.

  • Looking for experienced guidance and a space to think more deeply about your teaching.

Mentorship is for the points in your teaching journey where you want more clarity, feedback or support.

You might have a very specific question, or simply know there is an area of your teaching you want to understand better.

Choose the support that suits you

Hands-On Mentorship

60 minutes · €85

Take your teaching off the screen and onto the equipment.

This practical one-to-one mentorship session gives you the opportunity to work directly with movement, repertoire and teaching skills in a fully equipped Pilates studio.

Depending on what you want to develop, your session might include:

  • Refining cueing and communication

  • Improving observation and movement analysis

  • Exploring exercise set-up and organisation

  • Working through modifications and progressions

  • Developing confidence with particular apparatus or repertoire

  • Improving sequencing and transitions

  • Practising how to respond when an exercise is not working for the person in front of you

  • Preparing for a practical assessment or test-out

  • Receiving direct feedback on your teaching

The purpose is not simply to know more repertoire. It is to become better at seeing, thinking and responding as a teacher — and to leave with a clearer understanding of what you are doing, why you are doing it and how to adapt it for the person in front of you.

Available at selected Studios in Co. Mayo and Co. Galway.

Online Mentorship

60 minutes · €70

Focused one-to-one guidance and problem-solving from wherever you are.

Bring your questions, teaching challenges, programming ideas, repertoire or anything you’re trying to understand more clearly.

We can use the session to explore areas such as:

  • Observation: developing your eye for movement and understanding what matters most.

  • Cueing & communication: saying less, communicating more clearly and finding cues that work for the person in front of you.

  • Repertoire & exercise understanding: exploring exercise intention, organisation, common compensations and how the repertoire fits together.

  • Modifications & progressions: knowing when to adapt, regress or progress an exercise and why.

  • Sequencing & programming: building purposeful sessions rather than simply putting exercises together.

  • Teaching mixed levels: making confident decisions when different abilities and needs are present in the same class.

  • Anatomy & movement concepts: making anatomy practical and relevant to what you see and teach.

  • Assessment & test-out preparation: identifying gaps and practising how you explain, demonstrate and teach the work.

  • Teaching confidence & decision-making: becoming more comfortable trusting your knowledge rather than searching for one perfect answer.

  • Finding your teaching voice: developing a way of teaching that feels clear, authentic and genuinely yours.

1. Book your session

Choose either Online Mentorship or a Hands-On Mentorship session.

2. Tell me what you want to work on

Before we meet, you'll complete a short questionnaire about your training, experience and what you'd most like help with. This allows me to prepare specifically for you rather than giving you a generic session.

3. We work through it together

Your 60-minute session takes place in a private online room and is focused on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your teaching.

You’ll receive the joining link with your booking details, so all you need to do is arrive with the area you’d like to work on.

4. Leave with greater clarity

The aim isn't to give you another long list of things to learn. It's to help you understand what to look at, what to prioritise and what to do next.

How it works

Why work with me?

I've worked in the movement and fitness industry for more than 20 years and have spent over a decade teaching, mentoring and managing teachers, supported by additional training in Train the Trainer and Operational Fitness Management. My Pilates education includes Comprehensive training across Mat, Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Chair and Barrels, completed through Balanced Body in London under educator Nikki Chrysostomou.

When I was asked to join the Balanced Body Educator pathway, I didn’t hesitate. It was a huge honour to be invited into an international community of educators whose work I’ve respected throughout my own Pilates education. I begin my Educator training in Europe in January 2027, continuing a part of my work that has become increasingly important to me, supporting and developing other teachers, and helping to uphold high standards of teaching across our industry.

I've taught across community settings, health and fitness facilities, contemporary Reformer studios and fully equipped Pilates studios, working with everyone from complete beginners to experienced movers and teachers. That breadth of experience has shaped how I mentor.

I'm less interested in teaching you one “correct” way to say something and more interested in helping you understand why you're teaching it, what you're seeing and how to respond to the person in front of you. That can also mean exploring the kind of teacher you want to become, the kind of Pilates you want to teach, and how to develop a teaching approach that feels informed, confident and genuinely your own.
